Summer Iditarod Sled Dog Tours are offered June 8-September 29, 2013 at Nature's Kennel. Kennel tours are scheduled by RESERVATION ONLY so please email info@natureskennel.com or call 906-748-0513 to set up a tour. Cost is $20 per family and tours last about one hour. There is a big sign for the kennel at the driveway. PLEASE DO NOT FOLLOW YOUR GPS, FOLLOW THESE WRITTEN DIRECTIONS!

Fall Sled Dog Adventures
Join us for a Fall Sled Dog Adventure! Join us for a fall color tour by dog team September 1 through October 31, 2013.! You'll ride in our comfortable, 3 passenger, side-by-side off road vehicle. Our trails run through beautiful hardwood forests that are beautiful in the autum. Our fall tours include a tour of the kennel, the opportunity to hold puppies, and an introduction to sled dog training where you can see how we hook up the dogs. You can even learn to harness and dog if you’d like. We’ll stop along the route for photos and return to the kennel for coffee, hot coco and a homemade treat. Tours are from 8-10 am or 10-noon. Cost: $80 per person. We can accommodate up to three people in each time slot.

Summer Sled Dog School!July 22-26, 2013. Do you use the Iditarod in your classroom? Do you want to know what really goes on at an Iditarod sled dog kennel? Immerse yourself into "sled dog life" during our summer Iditarod sled dog school designed especially for educators. Nature's Kennel summer sled dog school provides hands on experiences at Nature's Kennel, mini-educational break out sessions and the opportunity to share classroom activities and ideas. Lodging is provided at Chamberlin's Old Forest Inn in Curtis and all meals are included. Cost is $835 per person (there is a discount if you choose to share a room). Just for Girls!
Summer Sled Dog Camp for girls ages 9-12. August, 5-8, 2013. Summer sled dog camp gives girls a great way to be involved with the daily life Nature's Kennel. They will get to help with all the kennel chores from playing with the puppies to feeding and running the adult dogs. The girls will also get to learn about sled dog equipment, make their own dog booties, ride on our side-by-side ATV as it's pulled by the sled dogs, and even take some time for swimming and relaxing. Cost is $350 which includes all meals, lodging, and camp supplies. Lodging is provided in our rustic winter camping tent. Group size is limited to six. Dog Sled to Tahq. Falls!
Nature's Kennel offers dog sled rides to view the Lower Falls of the Tahquamenon Falls on Thursdays in February. Our Tahquamenon Adventure includes a scenic dog sled ride and a stop for photos and hot chocolate. Cost is $150 per sled (a sled accomadates up to two adults or an adult and two small children). Rides will take place on the hour from 10am-3pm and will begin and end at the Lower Falls parking lot. Reservations are highly recommended as space is limited.
