"Mushing Camp for Kids"  has been hosted at Nature's Kennel for over ten years.  It is designed for girls who are comfortable being away from home for an extended amount of time. The accommodations at Musher's Village are comfortable yet remote; there is a cabin and yurt but there is no electricity, running water, cell phone service or communication with parents/family during the stay.  This is an awesome way for the girls to be immersed into sled dog life, camp fun, and hanging out in the UP!  Activities include learning about teamwork, assisting with kennel chores, meeting all the sled dogs, free walking dogs, ATV rides, swimming at area lakes, cooking and camp games.  The girls help prepare all meals, do camp chores, and are involved in every aspect of camp.  Camp is limited to 10 campers.  Tasha and staff lead all camp activities and stay overnight with the girls.

Cost:

Four nights/five days, $850.  No additional money is needed for camp supplies/activities. ​

$350 is due as deposit upon registration.  There are no additional fees or a "camp store" so please do not send money to camp with your child. No electronics of any kind are allowed at camp.  Tasha will have cell service and will post photos daily and can be reached in case of emergency.  Check-in is at 2 pm at Musher's Village on July 21nd and pick-up is at 1 pm at the same location on July 25th.  More information and details will be provided upon registration.
