May 4, 2008  After the traveling through the remains of a snowstorm in the Yukon, and soaking in Laird Hot Springs, we have arrived!  The trip was pleasantly uneventful, until the last 8 miles of our decent into Skagway.  We had to descend 3392 feet in 11.5 miles as we traveled down the White Pass.  The brakes on the front of the truck started smoking so we had to stop to let them cool off, and then crept down the last of the pass using only the trailer brakes.  It was certainly too stressful for us to...(more)
