Michigan Dog Sledding--Premier Winter Adventures with Michigan's Iditarod Team

The Nature's Kennel bus is on the way to Juneau, Alaska. We will again be spending the summer working for Alaska Icefield Expeditions!

Drive your Own Dog Team!!  Overnight Adventures and 1/2 Day Mini-Drives     At Nature's Kennel McMillan, Michigan  Nature's Kennel is located near Newberry, 90 minutes northwest of the Mackinac Bridge.  Stay tuned for the 2008-2009 Winter Tour Schedule!!

Ride with Iditarod Sled Dogs! At Boyne Highlands Resort Harbor Springs, Michigan Family rides take place on Boyne resort property on most winter weekends. Thanks for a great season...see you next winter!!

May 4, 2008  After the traveling through the remains of a snowstorm in the Yukon, and soaking in Laird Hot Springs, we have arrived!  The trip was pleasantly uneventful, until the last 8 miles of our decent into Skagway.  We had to descend 3392 feet in 11.5 miles as we traveled down the White Pass.  The brakes on the front of the truck started smoking so we had to stop to let them cool off, and then crept down the last of the pass using only the trailer brakes.  It was certainly too stressful for us to...(more)
